A terrific day on the green Thursday, May 26th with the Adshead Over 80 Mixed Triples. Sixteen squads of bowlers all over 80 years of age competed for the trophy first presented by Edwin Adshead back in 1964. Our tournament sponsors, Tapestry Living, provided tea/coffee and snacks throughout the day and then hosted everyone for a BBQ lunch on their fabulous fifth floor patio overlooking the green and city. Don Ross rolled out the first bowl on behalf of Tapestry residents and staff presented lovely gift baskets to the three top sides. Tapestry also graciously provided a certificate for a gourmet dinner as a door prize.

First place went to the undefeated team of Don Clark (skip), Harlan Grewal and Pat Thomas from Oak Bay. Second was determined by aggregate points and went to the JDF team of Keith Hammell (skip), Georgie Arendt and Connie Harper. The third place prize was awarded to the team of Mort Nelson (skip), Louise Mason and Betty Walker from Oak Bay.

Many thanks to Tapestry staff and CP volunteers for helping with set up and operations. A great day all around!
