Mark Planiden was the winner of the CPLBC 2018 Novice Men’s championship. He then went on to compete in the BSI Men’s Novice Singles tournament at Burnside LBC on September 1 and 2. Mark went unbeaten through all six of his games and won the tournament.
This is the second year in a row that a CP member has gone undefeated to win this novice city championship. Harry Walker, last year’s winner, presented the trophy and prize money to Mark.
