The second annual “Celebrate Life” memorial tournament was held at CP on September 5th. This pairs event is a fundraiser with proceeds donated to the local chapter of the Canadian Cancer Society. Mike A and Ralph H won all three of their games to take top honors in this years event. Congrats to both.
A cross green challenge was held following play with bowlers trying to get closest to the mat by rolling their bowls diagonally across the green. After nearly 60 bowls were thrown, Ron L ended up the closest to win the prize, a bottle of wine. The event raised an additional amount for the fundraiser. Many thanks to all who came out to support this event and to those who helped with the green set up and kitchen duties.
This year the money raised will be donated to the cancer society via the Cops For Cancer Tour de Rock.
